چکیده
Non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSC) are the most common types of cancer and include both basal cell carcinoma (BCC) squamous (SCC). NMSC primarily form on sun exposed including head, face, neck, arms, hands. BCC accounts for >75% cases; however, SCC is more aggressive may occur in other locations as well. Combined, responsible >15,000 deaths each year US alone, which exceed due to melanoma. Current diagnosis relies an in-depth visual assessment lesion question followed by a surgical biopsy histopathologic review. This analysis investigated whether non-invasive collection tissue with ‘smart stickers’ subsequent genomic could properly classify NMSC. Adhesive collections kits were used collect lesional from 58 patients BCC, 41 SCC, 42 non-cancerous diseases. Whole transcriptomic was conducted sample differentially expressed genes determined comparing and/or disease (other) using multiple comparisons. Eighteen significantly (fold change >1.5; p<0.1) increased compared diseases while 14 p<0.1). Further identified 12 that These results require further investigation but suggest “smart sticker” enabled sampling provide opportunity identify earlier without need biopsy.

Non-melanoma skin cancer diagnosis with a convolutional neural network
Background: The most common types of non-melanoma skin cancer are basal cell carcinoma (BCC), and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). AKIEC -Actinic keratoses (Solar keratoses) and intraepithelial carcinoma (Bowen’s disease)- are common non-invasive precursors of SCC, which may progress to invasive SCC, if left untreated. Due to the importance of early detection in cancer treatment, this study aimed...
متن کاملOccupational non-melanoma skin cancer.
Non-melanoma skin cancer is historically known to be associated with certain professions. Reporting is mandatory in Denmark when occupational exposure is suspected. In a retrospective register-based study of all cases of suspected occupational non-melanoma skin cancer reported to the Directorate of National Labour Inspection and the National Board of Industrial Injuries in Denmark in the period...

Background and aim: Non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSC) are one of the most prevalent malignancies of the human. Although the morality rate is not high for these cancers, they may cause high morbility for the patients. In addition to the skin type, factors such as sun exposure, head and neck radiotherapy, inappropriate use of sunscreen and cultural changes may increase the incidence of these...

Abstract Introduction: Non-melanoma scalp skin cancers (NMSCs) including squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs) and basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) are common. To manage such cancers, especially SCCs, more attention should be paid to their invasive characteristics. Mortality surveillance of SCCs and BCCs of scalp helps to choose proper approaches. Methods: The current retrospective, descriptive study w...
